The CIM K400C Features
- Design: Manufactured by Eltron
and the same, except for the case, in every
way as the infamous P420C this dual sided
K400C offers exceptional value for money.
Reliable, low cost consumables and a great
appearance.
- Powerful: Speed is a very high
144 cards per hour for full color and 1000
per hour monochrome. These figures depend on
the size of the image (both physical and
data size). Options include a 3 track
Hi/Lo-Co switch able magnetic encoder and
smart card contacts
- Smart & Simple To Use: The
CIM K400C card printer comes standard with a
Windows driver which features a « monitor
port » function which informs the user via
the computer that an intervention on the
printer is needed (card feeder empty, end of
ribbon, printer cleaning, etc.).
- Economical: The CIM K400C is
capable of using our Generic Ribbons that
reduce the cost of printing a full color
card to less than 20 Cents (Not including
card cost.)
- Rainbow Standard ID software:
Rainbow Card Printing Software is a free addition to the
CIM K400C card printer. Rainbow Card
Printing Software is the perfect
tool for graphic, magnetic, and electronic
personalization of plastic cards. Rainbow
Card Printing Software
facilitates the creation and printing of all
your cards: company badges, business cards,
membership cards, loyalty cards etc, and
gives you the possibility to build a source
of different card layouts instantly.
- Card Five Software - Where a more
robust feature set of card software is
required, we recommend the Card Five
Software. This software works directly
with the CIM K400 printers using DCL or Direct
Command Language and is much more cost
efficient than purchasing the upgrade
license to the Rainbow Card Printing
Software.

The K400C Mag is a color / monochrome
sublimation printer which includes an encoder
for magnetic stripe cards.
This encoder allows you to personalize your
cards in two different modes:

ISO 7811 Norms
using tracks 1, 2 and 3 (standard factory
settings)
-
Custom mode for
specific applications (with different track
formats, density per track, start and stop
characters…). For magnetic specific encoding
developments, please ask us the programming
guide or contact our technical support.
Not forgetting to mention that the encoder can
be defined by the user to operate with either a
low (300 Oersteds), medium (2750 Oersteds) or
high (4000 Oersteds) coercivity, by a simple
click via the Windows driver. To set the medium
coercivity, select high coercivity in the
Windows driver.

CIM.
The CIM
K400C
SMART is based on the characteristics of the New
Pebble printer and integrates a Smart Card
Contact Station which enables you to personalize
the chip cards. The CIM K400C SMART is compatible
with any ISO 7816-2 Chip Cards.
The push &
contact system of the Smart Card Contact Station
provides the contact with the card only when a
personalization of the chip is required. This
advantage ensures a better Contact Station
durability and a higher card printing quality as
it prevents scratches on the card surface.
This option
is factory settings as standard and not field
upgradeable.
